About Me

I am a passionate educator who left teaching to stay at home with young children. I graduated from Muskingum University with degrees in Mathematics and German. My tutoring career started during my freshman year of high school in an after-school program. I fell in love with it and haven't stopped since. My love for teaching continued to be fostered during college as I learned not only how to teach but how to be a student.

Math is an intimidating subject that a person either loves or hates. At one point math was a challenging subject for me too, a class I absolutely dreaded because I thought I was bad at it. I had a few amazing teachers to show me that I just lacked confidence in myself. Through tutoring, I have found that the same is true of most students. Math feels hard, and often it is, but it is not impossible. I work to build up students' confidence so that they learn to trust themselves. We often have the answers somewhere in our mind but fear being wrong. No matter how much a student knows, if they don't trust themselves, they will struggle to succeed. My goal is to assist your student in solidifying their knowledge and also increasing their self-confidence.

When I am not tutoring, you can find me spending time with my family, playing with my dog, reading the day away, traveling or being outside.
